Vet Treats Animals with Acupuncture - Video

“Seven year-old Buddy the dog is paralyzed - and uses a cart to get around the hallways of Wedington animal hospital where he lives. Because of his condition, Buddy suffers from urinary tract infections. Dr. Stan Baker takes a little bit different approach in treating him.
"Holistic medicine for me is another tool in my toolbox," Dr. Baker said.
He places small needles in specific spots on Buddy's back, and hooks them up to a box that emits an electric current. Then a small dose of electric current goes into Buddy's muscles - you can even see them twitch. It doesn't hurt Buddy -- and is meant to help his health.”
